Diet & Food Choices Study

Nutrition science is a data driven area of research. Scientific knowledge of nutrition has evolved over time, each decade reveals new conceptions of how to obtain optimal nutrition. Recent studies have revealed that there is no one size fits all approach to nutrition.

Different populations have unique tolerances and sensitivities that have been selected for, usually by region, and reliant on available types of foods. History and ancestry play a role in determining the best dietary practices for any given individual. This clinical trial attempts to identify each participants blend of ancestry to focus on how different populations would respond to changes in diet. This research will allow dietitians to make and test predictions about health outcomes.
